Looks like there might be a nice roll to the lapel if the top button is undone, and is that pick stitching on the lapels? Either way, STP's customer service has been outstanding for me. Give them a call and you could probably explain to whomever what to look for and have them pinch the suit for you.

I voted that johnnynorman3 is crazy just because - nothing to do with the suit.

I have a recollection of seeing a STP description of these suits being 3/4 canvassed, 1/4 fused; however, might have been some other brand on their site/in the catalog. This label may be a Sierra invention, akin to Lambourne(?).

You people say crazy and insane as if there is something wrong with that....

Johnny - FWIW there are 4-5 factories in Italy that I can think of off the of of my head that make suits using name brand fabric and sell it on the fabric.

Typically decent quality fused production with machine 'pick stitching' and other expensive looking features. I've seen some pretty decent ones and I've seen some pretty sh.tty ones but quite honestly some of those no-namers come out of the same factory as the designer stuff that really sell for the quoted price.

My .02... give it a shot and do a review, worst case they take returns don't they?

Do not get a Giampaolo de Santi suit. I tried one, and it was awful. They are not good fused suits. They are terrible fused suits. Fusing is really thick and stiff, lapels are limp and pressed flat (even for a fused job), shoulders wide and ugly, and skirt horribly flared so that the vents don't lay right. Fabric sucks too.

A new poll was opened wherein you ask if members believe Giampaolo de Santi suits are fused, but you say you've already bought one and can confirm that it is a fused suit (and a terrible one at that). What's the purpose of the poll? Did I misread something?

Nah, not a misread, just a teensie leetle date issue. The poll is from November -- the post about the suit is an update...
