More difficult for SF-ers to cope with will be the fact that it's also "Buy Nothing Day"...

That was a great challenge. I'm sure Erik will come up with something great, but I'd be curious to see a herringbone (suit/sportcoat) challenge: for such a staple pattern, it shows up on SF less than I would have thought.
(Also, I just got a new herringbone jacket, so forgive the bias!).

I agree. But, at least in our home town, San Francisco ,
the selection is abysmal. The only shops currently carrying real
tweed are the Hound and Cable Car Clothiers- the latter carrying stiff basic fabrics
with no "interest" cut in 1958 Ivy style. Most of my purchases have been
online- which of course has its' own problems. . As for the Hound, its better but nothing
like one sees at the Andver Shop or O'Connells.
