Former styleforum sw&d member fade2black passed away several years ago.

After having a mental health meltdown here (to say the least) and leaving this forum he went on to become a famous artist and one of his paintings has even sold for over $4,000,000 usd

Just some wild info to make the old heads here feel insane.

I believe he was more active on stylezeitgeist, wasn't he? I didn't spend much time on there. Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else.

I had no idea that he was at university of Michigan at the same time I was. I feel so bad for his mother. I've always felt that one of the best reasons to not commit suicide (assuming that you even want to) is the indescribable pain it causes one's mom.

I went to his retrospective show in Athens (Greece) last year at ARCH, really amazing work.
He actually came out to the first Superfuture party I held in San Francisco in 2007, really nice guy, pretty quiet. Really tragic how it all ended.

He was active on Superfuture and also SZ, but got himself banned in both places. Styleforum was his last forum. He and I had a lot more in common than most people know. I the end, he more or less had himself banned here purposefully. Interesting guy, very passionate, and clearly had his own demons.
