I just bought a pair of D&G khakis at a thrift store and it turned out they were too small. Normally, I would've tried them on, but I was in a huge rush and they said they were 30. They're not. They're more like a 26 which I most definitely cannot fit into. Is there any way they can be enlarged? Does that even happen?

Thanks!

Look on the inside of the pants at the seam running up the rear to the waistband. You'll be able to tell if there's extra fabric there that would allow the pants to be taken out (a lot of higher end pants have this extra allowance). Not sure if that'll get you all the extra room you need, but you can always ask a tailor their opinion.

Thank you. It doesn't look like it though. :(

Guess I'm just gonna have to go and find a new pair of D&G khakis.

First of all, you could have held them flat up against your waist and got an approximate idea of size or wrap them around your neck flat folded, if your a 15 neck and their 15 flat folded, you have a 30 waist. Second, when letting out cotton or linen pants you are going to have stitching marks (Holes) that will not entirely go away which looks very bad on any pant and is not flattering and it suggests that you've ballooned. Third, most likely there wouldn't be enough fabric to correctly let these out and 4" is to much to let out on any pant

LL YOU GUYS LISTEN UP.

OPEN YOUR WALLET AND TAKE OUT TWO BUCKS.
GO TO A LOCAL FABRIC STORE, AND BUY A TAPE MEASURE.
STICK IT IN YOUR POCKET WHEN YOU GO SHOPPING.
YOU CAN MEASURE ANYTHING WITH IT.

You are going to have to say this more than just once for the folks around here to get it.

I totally disagree.

You can buy a tape measure at most drug stores.

what they sell at the drug store will only measure the amount of stuff you are about to inhale.

If they're that far off the label they may have been taken in. Like an earlier post said, see if there's extra fabric inside the waist.
