Time to buy that Scorpion Jacket - oh wait.. we all missed it - its sold out..

I never wanted to be "that guy" who wears a movie jacket, but I'm seriously considering it. I think it's more wearable since people would not recognize it from the movie. I remember when everyone in high school wanted the red leather jacket from Fight Club and I thought that was lame.

I've been looking at pictures of Korean souvenir jackets they say this is based on. They are like lava lamps, very cool and cheesy as hell at the same time.

The jacket got a 2nd run. All of the sizes are available except XS, the size I would need. I emailed the admin asking if there would ever be a 3rd run, or if some accommodation could be made.

I think some people are referring to the fact that Drive is a crime drama with an atypical palette and score as well as the throwback hot pink font like the Miami Vice television series. There are also a few posts that I think refer to the film by Micheal Mann and how both films, the other being Drive of course, had trailers that had trouble accurately portraying the contents of the film.

Very different movie than Miami Vice. I only made the comparison with respect to the trailers both being cut by the marketing people and not the writer/director/producer. Unfortunately MV got a bad wrap because everyone thought it would be like the TV show but with more violence. Mann took a more artistic approach, as always so it should have been no surprise to anyone, and people didn't like it.

I could only see the jacket working for Halloween/costume parties really. And even then you better have a pretty good body. If you're chubby then just forget it. Too bad the first run doesn't even ship until Nov. 15, so no chance of getting it for Halloween.

Although at first glance the measurements make it seem like a pretty large jacket to me. I'll have to take a look at one of my other jacket's measurements.

And oh yeah, I LOVED the movie. Just now seeing this thread. I was totally blown away after it was over. I kept thinking about it the whole week afterwards.
