Drip on AE Lambert's - Ruined Shoe??

I was cleaning the ice off the windshield of my car and I guess a drip of windshield wiper fluid hit my favorite AE Lambert's in Chili color. I noticed after my commute to work and when I got to my desk. The drip seems to have eaten thru the wax and coloring of my shoe! I cleaned them immediately and then tried to re-shoe cream them in a dark color when I got home. I tried to "spot" cream the drip area, but it doesn't seem to be taking, as a matter of fact, it seems the area around it seems to have lightened too. After about 3 hours of creaming and polishing, the drip it still there.

Can any one help?

This thread can help you (just keep up regular maintenance and accept the discoloration as a bit of character).

+1. They look fine. Just keep conditioning and polishing as normal. The chili color takes on a nice antiqued color with time anyway. This will blend right into that.

If those shoes are a 13D they are ruined. Send them to me immediately and I'll give them a proper burial.*

*By "proper burial" I mean I will wear them.

Looks OK, don't fret too much.

BTW, I love my Lambert's in the chilli color.

It's my go to shoes for rainy/light snow weather.

The shape of the shoes is quite elegant, and the combo sole provides decent traction..

Looks especially good with jeans (of the selvedge kind of course)
