here is a summer casual look im going for. what are you overall thoughts? does the tan loafers not go well with the white and turquoise? also what color belt would you choose if you were to wear this outfit? should i match it with my loafers?

ok so matching belt?

what do you think of this article? he says you shouldn't match shoes with belt if the color of the shoe is unique, like burgundy, light tan, etc.

No "matching" belt. Brownish. That can be a little beige. Dark brown. Just in the brown family.

And remember, no one will see your belt with that outfit. Buy a "brownish" belt that is functional and you can wear with multiple outfits when a brown belt is called for.

That's a good use of tan shoes, actually. (I say that because there are many bad ones)

I think belt matching is one area of sartorial practice where you can relax. The reason we talk about it at all is a grand objective of menswear: You want people to see the whole of your body. You don't want your body to be sawed off by a belt into a top and bottom section.

For you - I think pretty much anything light-to-medium colored would work. (Assuming they could see it - as far as I can tell leaving it untucked looks best.

+1

Agree 100%. Your shirt untucked looks best especially with the no/invisible sock look.

Not crazy about the shirt color. Also since it's for summer, I think a less fitted shirt might add that causal accent the shirt needs to go from a dress shirt to a casual shirt.

It looks somewhat washed-out. If the shirt were a shade darker, the end result would be noticeably better.

Yes, it is. There are three ways that you can accentuate your look for better.

- First, wear socks with loafers.

- Second, tuck your shirt & wear matching belt with the loafer.

- Third, at long last, wear light colored loafer as it will compliment your outfits.
