Hello. I recently purchase some Carlyles from AE in walnut. I purchased them about 3 weeks ago and have woern them about 3 times. I just noticed some hairline cracks in the leather. Is this something to be expected or do I have an issue here? This is hardly visible but if it gets worse that will not be good. Any input would be appreciated.Thanks.

Those are to be expected. Make sure you keep them with shoe trees when you're not wearing them (looks like you are off to a good start). You should also condition the leather every so often. Without those two the creases can develop into cracks after awhile, but there is really no way to avoid creasing altogether.

Edit: After zooming in on your photo, now I'm assuming you're referring to those small vertical lines on the shoe. I don't know much about that, so you can disregard my post. Do you think the shoes are slightly long for your foot?

Thanks for responding. Yes, I was talking about the vertical like lines on the tip of the shoe. I did not notice these when the shoes first came in. And since a shoe would not crease there that is my concern. I'm hoping they are not the beginning stages of cracks.
