Well If I could I would like to edit the thread name so it doesn't sound like such broken English. This is what happens when you type too fast. Ok, well a lot of you know me from either Street Wear or other parts of the forum for random posts (including several of hot Japanese idols

). A little while ago I found a suit at a local thrift store. I know next to nothing about suits so I can not properly judge the material for quality or not (probably not but eh, it was cheap). Anyways this was tailored for someone who later donated it and it fits me like a dream! The pants are exactly what I have been looking for (cept I want different colors) as far as fit and style (moderately slim to rather slim). The jacket fits ok (really slim at the waist, but a bit too broad in the shoulders) but I would like something with higher arm holes and a softer less padded shoulder. I would really like to wear it out sometime (or at the very least the pants, whole suit if I can get my hands on a matching fedora), but I am totally lost as to what to wear as far as belt, shoes and shirt/tie. What styles and colors should I look for? The suit is a light cream color. Thanks for the help!

hahahaha, actually when you had that as your avitar, this suit was the first thing I thought of (hence why I said I need to find a fedora
mwink[1].gif
... and a vest). Then all I have to do is take Yumi to a movie theater this summer and threaten a guy with his life if he eats chips during the movie. Livin' the dream. livin' the dream.

I took some quick pictures but mind you these came out making the suit look much more yellow than it really is (damn incandescent lighting). Ill have to try and get some pics in the daylight. Looking at the pictures I think the chest/arms/pants all need a bit of tailoring. Need: Belt, Shoes, Pocket square, Fedora, Vest ps No Flash +low light FTL!

Well, the photos aren't very flattering for the suit, but you absolutely need to shorten sleeves and trouser legs. I think turn-ups will look good, even though some will say that flat fronts look better cuffless. There's also a lot to gain by taking the waist in a bit. Can't really see the chest well enough. Light blue/French blue shirts, corresponding tie/pocket square, I think. Light blue canvas shoes, like laced Vans, may well look good with this, for a casual, more street-wearish/neo-preppy look. You could also consider a panama/other straw fedora. I think a short brim with a broad band (think Sinatras hats of the early sixties) will be very good. Who made it?

Oh, I was about to say: anything, except black shoes and belt.
I see that a lot of people suggest light shirts. I think that dark shirts would go excellent with this kind of suit. A dark brown or blue shirt, for example. Perhaps with "bold" stripes. Or a deep "mauve" coloured shirt.
Brown, tan or blue shoes, and/or spectator shoes.
Suede shoes and belt could be nice, but also brown leather.
Of course, ankle boots instead of shoes would be fine.
I would only go for black shoes and belt if I also wore a black shirt. Which is an option that I would not exclude.

This suits needs a lot of tailoring. The waistband on the pants feel a bit constricted, you should let that one out a bit. Light blue or light pink shirts are fine with cream suits. I would wear dark brown or black shoes.

Yes it is a bit long and the jacket is too wide up top, but actually I feel the pants fit me fine (or rather fit tighter like I want) the shirt I was wearing was teh suck so if it looks a bit off (or like the pants are making my fat flow over the top) its due to that.
Thanks for the color suggestions guys. Although I just cant see myself wearing black shoes with this one, its just too much. Brown I feel would look more "correct."

Oh and about the tie! I Tied it really quick and it was late so I just didnt care. I hardly know how to tie a tie so I threw it together. If I were seriously wearing it I would have tied it the proper length.
