color combinations with sweaters

I've got a beautiful new merino navy blue sweater and looking for some color suggestions for a dress shirt under. I'll probably pair it with a brown cord jacket. Any thoughts on the navy/brown combination? I don't want to put too many colors in. Other than a boring white shirt, any suggestions?

I think the tattersal would go smashingly well. Not too sure about the pink though.
