Just picked up a pair of Bushacres in Beeswax, wondering what's the difference in looks between using Obenauf's LP and Leather Oil?

I will try to wear away the crepe sole on my Beeswax ASAP, the Vibram sole on the DB's look awesome.

I was trying on some Bushacre2s today. The stores I was at didn't have any in brown suede so I was just checking for fit. I normally wear an 11.5. While all were listed as 11.5 M width in US sizes some were also listed as UK 10.5 G and some were merely UK 11. For my wide foot the G was true to size while the others were too narrow. So if I have to order online how do I guarantee getting a wider shoe when they all have the same listing for US width?

Edited to add: I contacted both Designer Shoe Warehouse and Clarks about trying to find G width Bushacres. Neither has the ability to differentiate their stock. Since all the boots are labeled a US Medium, it's a roll of the die as to what you'd actually get. No wonder so many people have to size down; the company itself doesn't know and can't differentiate the width of their product.

Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere in the 459 pages of this thread, but I took my beloved DB's to the cobbler for a resole and he said it's simply not possible with these. Was he just being lazy or are there certain models of DBs that aren't resole-able?

All clarks DB's are resoleable as far as I know, as they all have the same stitchdown contruction. The cobbler likely doesn't know their stuff. Try another cobbler.

My CDBs have just about had it, Crepe is almost worn through and also coming away from the upper. They still look awesome though and they've lasted nearly 2 years. I might look into getting them resoled but really I would prefer the go for a pair of Beeswax Desert Troopers to replace them. More durable and equally good looking IMO just can't seem to find any available.

Anyway just ordered a pair of 8" Moc toe Thorogoods on Amazon so I'm sure they'll keep me happy for a while.
