Beautiful shoes. What is it that you love most about the monk strap? I do not own any pairs, but am, perhaps, looking to acquire a few. I've always preferred lace-ups and slippers.

I've never seen split toe monks - but I really like them!!!!!!!

Would these be considered formal enough to wear with a suit? Or does the split toe put it into sport coat land?

Yes, but I need to see the split toe monk in person. I not a big fan of split toe shoes, though I do like JL's monks.
