So I am slowly building up a shoe collection, looking for decent quality shoes. Ideally I am looking to replace most of my old shoes with ones that will be long lasting, comfortable and of good quality.
I started with my work shoes, normally loafers, having picked up a couple of pairs of Barkers. I am now looking to expand, both with some boots and a pair of walking shoes. While there seems to be a lot of good discussion around the various boots, I am looking for some recommendations for a good pair of casual walkers. Will be heading overseas for a month in the new year and will likely be putting in a fair amount of walking as I am a museum buff. I have previously owned Rockport, but was not overly enamored with them.
Budget is anywhere up to $350-$400 if justified, and the shoes will last a decent amount of time. Note that as a heavier guy with a fast walk, I have had some of the less durable shoes used in the past, literally fall to pieces on me. Size is a UK10.5G
thanks.
