the problem with stripes is it says suit jacket. if you had some other pattern, then you could pass it off as a sportcoat. but if you really want to do it, then do it. my only suggestions are to avoid baggy jeans, don't wear pressed dress shirts (the shirt should match the jeans for wear), and do wear nice dress shoes to complement the jacket.Originally Posted by lightsky
