ok so it's another jacket/blazer thread ... but it's a simple question. This pic is from "Nov 06", worn to my sister's wedding reception ... what I want to know is whether this suit jacket can be pulled off with jeans?? Like dark wash jeans, maybe a light pink polo and tan/light brown shoes. Would it work??? (hopefully the attachment worked).

No. The suitjacket with jeans look was really about dark pin or chalkstripes. Plus it's a look that is now utterly played and was never all that cool to begin with.

Looks like it'd be way too dressy. I think it might be the pinstripes that's doing it.

seriously guys? you don't think it'd work? DAMN! This is the only suit I own .... and it's so damn hard to find sports jackets/blazers for a short guy, argh!!! So I couldn't pull this off in any way, other than as a full suit!!!?

the problem with stripes is it says suit jacket. if you had some other pattern, then you could pass it off as a sportcoat. but if you really want to do it, then do it. my only suggestions are to avoid baggy jeans, don't wear pressed dress shirts (the shirt should match the jeans for wear), and do wear nice dress shoes to complement the jacket.
