Can these shoes be worn with both a black and dark brown belt?

These shoes from CT piqued my interest. I really like the contrast sole color (something of a dark brown). I was just wondering if this will permit them to be worn with a dark brown belt, or if black is still the only choice.

They can be worn with whatever you want. If you're going to wear a jacket/sweater, then no one will see the belt anyway. If you want to go strictly by the "belt should match shoes" "rule," then no; they should go with a black belt.

Ok, thanks for the input. What do you think about the shoe itself? I haven't really seen a brown sole on a black shoe before (usually its backwards) but i think it looks pretty sharp.

They look fine. There are black shoes with brown soles and there are black shoes with tan inners, red inners, and several other colours. Nothing to be concerned about.
