Can I put MOP buttons on a suit

Here is the RAF blue fabric I bought on the forum. It has been sent to the tailor. I ordered a SB two-piece with 2 flapped pockets.
My question is, can I use MOP buttons on it? Actually I am thinking of wearing the jacket as a blazer regularly (I know it is 100% suiting but I really don't need to wear a full suit too often, and more importantly, I don't have too many SFers around me :p).
Need your comments~

The smoky grey MOP or white MOP? If the former then I'd say go for it, although it's not conservative business dress in the strictest sense. White MOP with Air Force blue will really stand out, a little too much in my opinion.

What is smoky MOPs? Mine have shiny silver faces while the tails are black. Definitely not white.

No, horn buttons remain appropriate for this cloth and garments made from it.

If you intend to wear this to a conservative work environment, then you should stick to horn buttons.

With that color, only very dark mother of pearl buttons would be appropriate, and only marginally so.

On a grey suit of a certain type, however, some nice dark or smokey grey ones might be just the thing.

You'd be better off sticking with horn for the time being.

I just found a shirt that has black Abalone buttons on it that would be a great match for that jacket - a little lighter than charcoal, with a great blue shimmer. Don't know where you'd find them, though,
