Brooks Bros/Allen Edmonds

I've been informed that BB will start carrying Allen Edmonds shoes---supposedly next month. Branded with BB's name just like the Alden offerings. Five different styles: Captoe, Loafer, Blucher, Wingtip, and...can't rememebr the 5th style. Price points of $298 and $348. They will have a half leather-half rubber/composite sole. Will only be in about 20 stores or so. Will be available in black and brown.

Jos Bank has just started to carry an exclusive line of 11 AE models, down from maybe 70 styles or so.

My guess is that they will be similar models to the Jos A bank shoes, and they are awful at a Bank. No parks or strands.

No Park Ave? Isn't there one that is identical to the PA, but just called something else? The Franklin looks interesting, and the Potomac looks like it can compete against Alden LHS---in calf of course. They look ok to me.

Interested if anyone else has heard this about AE at Brooks. One may get some good sales from BB...
