I always here that body hair is "out" these days. However, my legs are WAY too hairy to even try it, and than people say you should either shave your crotch region, or trim it. Shaving it in my opinion is out of the question, but what would be an "acceptable" length trim? Whats the best way to shave/trim?

"Acceptable" to who?

Whatever you do with your body hair involving scissors, clippers, or razors, it'll grow back. If it's too short, wait a few weeks. If it's too long, have at it again.

Find what works for you and don't feel the need to justify your body grooming decisions to the rest of the world.

I trim down there to 1/8 inch. Looks cleaner, but not pre-pubescent.

Trim with one of those electric hair trimmers, not scissors, obviously.

I bought a cheap ol' moustache trimmer, set it to #2-3 and do a full body trim about once ever week or two. keeps things cleaner without the hassle/pain of fully shaving while avoiding being a full hairy ape-like thing either.
And do it while standing in the bathtub. Good luck.

I was really bummed out when I started growing dark hair on my chest, but every girl I've been with has told me they love my body hair, so I don't mess with it much.

I don't really think it can go "out." It's a symbol of masculinity.

I use a hair thinner for chest hair and downstairs.

Yeah, everybody wants to look like they're 13 again.

I know a guy from the gym that has the hair all over his body removed - doubt I'll ever ask him how or why. I can kind of see the reason for doing this. Swimmers and cyclists do it all the time, right?
Now having perfectly trimmed eyebrows to go along with it is a definitely a bit overboard.

I trim for two reasons:

I bike and I find it easier to live without hair than with. I normally trim down there as close as I can get, since most chicks I have been with shave or trim very closely, and they liked the fact that I reciprocated.
