Hi,
I thought about getting new completely bespoke shoes.
After some searching I found out that theres the company Springline that produces custom lasts.
Some articles state that there are some shoemakers who will made bespoke shoes out of your own lasts.
Is this true? I find this idea quite a nice one.
One article for example states that Cliff Roberts does things like this.
Is he still in business?
Are there any other shoemakers who will work on my own lasts?
Has anyone ever done this?
Is there anything I should consider before doing this?
The shoemaker should be in europe.
Thanks in advance!

Based on my limited experience, this is unlikely to yield satisfactory results. Getting a fit that you'll be happy with is more art than science. So what you need is an experienced maker who stands behind his brand, meaning is willing to fix mistakes, make improvements, and even willing to re-make if necessary. A long chain where the shoemaker can blame the last maker and vice versa won't cut it.

Heck, even a lot of bottom tier "bespoke" feels more fly-by-night than a reputable business catering to gentlemen
