Are These Ferragamos Junk?

I've been wanting a pair but after finding this forum and reading about goodyear welting and seeing some Ferragamo lines trashed, I am a bit doubtful. I do really like the look of them, but if the construction is poor, I'd rather look into something else.

I actually had to put on that pair when I wanted to try on a pair of shoes to make sure the cuff length on my suit was correct and they had no other shoes in my size. Those particular Ferragamos run extremely tight, are boxy and ugly from the side, and incredibly uncomfortable.
