altering dress shirts - sleeve cuff

I am attempting to alter some of my dress shirts, taking them in at the sides and sleeves. Seems like a fairly simply job, although for those of you that have done this, how did you deal with the cuffs? Most of my shirts have a flat felled seam, can't quite figure out how to blend the cuff seam and new seam together. thanks
