I'm pretty new here so hello to everyone. My question:
I am wanting to purchase a pair of Brioni dress slacks from Virtual
Clothes Horse. Will it be possible to let them out 1 to 1.5 inches.
I generally wear a 34 and the pair I am interested in is only available
in a 33. Is this a bad idea? I'm sure this has been covered before,
but I am wondering if anyone has specific experience with Brioni.

Thanks

It would be best to ask virtual clotheshorse to measure the let out. A Brioni pant will come from the factory with at least an inch of let out, but that does not assure that this one does. It could be a 33 let out or it could be MTM. So I would ask him to measure the amount of fabric available for let out.

Also (now that I fully read your post), Brioni pants run trim. So, if a 34 just fits you, especially in the seat and thigh area, the 33 will be too tight. A waist can usually be let out at least an inch, but a seat not nearly as much. If 34's are at all tight in the thigh, I would pass.

if the seat on the 33 fits then the waist can be let out 1 1/2".
you may also be able to get 1/2" more in the seat, and also in the crotch.
