I want to buy a fairly inexpensive blazer to wear with jeans, chinos, etc. Something kind of casual. I recently bought a Tommy Hillfiger on sale at Macy’s for a under 120. (Normally 350 or so.) It’s a wool / polyester / Lycra blend.

Today I saw a nice one at J Crew that was 100 present American wool. I think it’s this one (https://www.jcrew.com/p/mens_catego...l/ludlow-legacy-blazer-in-american-wool/F3867) that came out to Ankur 225 after discounts.

Which one do you think is a nicer jacket?

The first picture is the TH one, the second is the JC one.

Thanks!

Thoughts? I’m concerned the j crew one looks more like a suit coast, but I like the next that it’s 100% wool. I bought both and need to figure out which to return.

The J Crew on is on the left and the TH is on the right. I’ve also attached some close ups.

Probably not getting any replies because it’s very hard to assess the fit from your photos. Have someone take pictures from front and back. No selfies.
The J Crew jacket is likely better constructed but I don’t like the skinny lapels.

From the pictures the TH seems to be a better fit. Agree about the lapels on J crew being too narrow. I do take issue with polyester though.

I actually kept the TH. For the price I think it’s a nice jacket and it goes well with jeans.
