I was in the market for another American Apparel hoodie, and I noticed a lot of eBay auctions selling them for a bit cheaper than off the AA site, although I'm wondering if they are authentic. Has anyone purchased one of these off eBay before and can chime in?

Your post is way too vague. AA hoodies are fairly cheap to begin with, and ebay is a re-selling website, so naturally anything on ebay (unless it is collectible or vintage) would probably be cheaper.

But beyond that, every ebay seller is different. Asking someone if they bought a hoodie off ebay, without specifying a seller, is useless.

Here's a bit of advice: First, you didn't need to start a new thread to ask this, second, AA hoodies are inexpensive, either buy one in store, or look at a seller's feedback rating. If the feedback is good, the hoodie is most likely legit. Either way you're not out that much $$.

I honestly don't even know if there is counterfeit AA stuff. Sounds pretty pointless.

You realize that they're like $30, right

Yeah.. . I'm just asking a question. And the hoodies are more like $55 with shipping, not $30. The ones on eBay are about 50% cheaper with shipping included. Sorry if that's inexpensive for you, but it isn't for me. Also, I like the way the AA hoodies fit and feel, if I were to get a fake one I would just have to end up buying another, so doesn't it make sense to ask about it instead of waste a week waiting for it to arrive if it's fake?

And feedback isn't a very good test by any means. People sell stuff such as fake Diesel jeans on eBay and get positive rep for it all the time.

To fix my question.. for anyone who's purchased an AA hoodie off eBay, was it authentic? If so, who was the user selling?
