$500 Valentino Garavani black Captoe Oxford shoes - 9D

I just got these in the mail hoping to be able to wear them on my cruise, but they are slightly too small for my feet. Perhaps I should have measured them better.....anyway, they are a European size 8, which equates to about a 9D in US size. They are black with red soles, and the leather is in like-new condition. Valentino Garavani is a designer, and he appears to have spelled it correctly, so I'm guessing the answer is no.

If they were just a size bigger, I'd take them. I've got some Valentino patent-leather ankle boots that I love to wear out for nights on the town. The shapes of his shoes are generally quite flattering, so if anybody is looking for a slightly fashion-forward shoe without being too outlandish, I think this would be a great one at that price. At full retail, Valentino is a joke (I agree with your retail price quote; my boots have glued-on soles and retailed for nearly $700 ((luckily I got them on sale))) but they're well worth what you're asking.
