This custom-made Samuelsohn suit still has its $1,830 price-tag affixed to the sleeve. This suit was made-to-order, but was never picked up by the buyer. It's the 4th and last custom piece that I'll be selling at an outrageous discount. The pants are unhemmed, the jacket pockets are basted shut. The piece is new. The only condition issue is that the loop at the neck and the Harry Rosen tag on the lining have been clipped to prevent return. Also, the person who ordered the suit has had their name stitched into the lining. I don't consider that a condition issue, but I mention it regardless.
The suit is contemporary in all respects (it was made in 2014): it features side vents, flat-front pants, a high gorge, a 3-roll-2 closure, and a fancy paisley lining. The fabric is a Super 150s wool. The base colour is gray, and you can see the Prince of Wales check. As with any Samuelsohn suit, the jacket is fully canvassed.
Because the piece is custom, its measurements are also custom. Expect to spend a bit of money tailoring this to fit your frame. Buttons have been added to the sleeves, but there are not buttonholes. So the sleeve-length can be altered easily and cheaply. The suit is tagged 45 Short with a Size 38 Waist.
Lying flat, the suit measures approximately as follows:
Pants: Waist, 19.5"; Inseam, 35.25" (unhemmed); Outseam, 45" (unhemmed); Leg Opening, 8".
Jacket: Chest, 23.5"; Waist (middle button) 22"; Sleeves, 23.5" (shoulder-seam to cuff) with 2" of fabric to add; Shoulders, 18.75; Length (bottom of collar to hem) 29".
