I like the look of keffiyeh's, but I don't know if it would be politically correct for me to wear one. what do you think?

I don't know what a keffiyeh is, but has anyone ever told you that you look a hell of a lot like Yasir Arafat?

Trent can get away with wearing whatever he wants and will make it look awesome in the process. You will not. I'm sorry.

Edit: That's actually a bad attempt at being snarky. If you think you can rock one and make it look decent go for it. They do have a pro-palestine association with them though, and you might just end up looking like you're going to a protest.

Round abouts here in Spokane, you should be able to get by wearing one (I do, often) without too many shouts of racist remarks from the rednecks about town. despite this being an old (perhaps played) its gonna be considered fashion forward here.

Look, there are basically two questions you're asking:

1. Do I care about trends?
2. Do I care about politics?

And since you posted this, it's pretty clear that your answers are (1) yes and (2) I don't understand the question.

Based on that, you should probably avoid it.

i didn't realize this was "in" awhile ago. i don't really have a view on the Palestinian/politics of it. i just know that it is a Palestinian thing and it might cause other people to get pissed, although like ratboy said Spokane isn't exactly on the pulse and no one here would probably think anything of it. possibly they would think i was a terrorist though.

They wear them all over the Middle East. Mine has sentimental Value though as my Uncle sent me it from Afganistan. Its Black and white (Iraqi colors, according to an Iraqi friend, he said Red/White is more common in SA)

Youre obviously not gonna wear it on your head like Arafat right?
In lebanon even, those who do wear it are always regarded (and often rightfully so) as being committed communists or members of other parties that strongly support palestinians.

So there is a strong political connection associated with it here. I only saw one guy wearing it in states and he was palestinian, so i dont know how itll be viewed there and how much youd mind that.
