The Timberland Men's Heritage 3-eye Classic Lug Boat Shoes 30003 is what I purchased and have been wearing them as my everyday shoes. It is a dark brown leather shoe with a honey rubber sole. I wear them all year round. The shoes are very comfortable and get softer the more you wear them. The thick leather gets very soft after about six months of continuous wear and combined with the inner orange lining makes a comfortable shoe to wear with no socks in the warmer weather. The lacing works well for a perfect fit. The leather is quiet water tight so you can walk on wet surfaces. The leather cleans easy and polishes very well to use the shoes for all occasions.
The leather upper sits on top of a very aggressive honey rubber sole to give fantastic traction on any surface. The honey rubber sole has a good deep tread pattern of bars (lugs) around the outside with stars in the middle. All this put together makes a very stylish classic boat shoe that has been around for over 30 years. They are very versatile shoes and can wear them from casual to formal wear. Highly recommended for wearing in the office if you walk a lot on solid floors. Also recommended for wearing when travelling. I got my first pair to wear at college about 25 years ago, and still buy them today. A pair lasts me for 3-4 years, if you resole them . For me they have been the most comfortable shoes I ever had. Will continue buying them as long as they are still made.
