    What colour pants?

...Or trousers, since I'm British. I picked up this grey wool jacket recently, and wondering what to wear with it? Pretty much sorted for tie/ ps combos since grey is such a versatile colour, but I'm not sure what colour trousers would be best. Black is an obvious choice, but I wanted to know...

    Best Burger Ever!

I can get a great burger just next to me in Bristol, a place called The Burger Joint. Last time I was there I got the 6oz prime beef with bacon brie and onions... Holy **** it was good. They also do a fantastic Venison burger. I'm hungry now.

What's worse? Short Sleeves or Ex LG Bulky Pea Coat

Both of them look big in the shoulders, and not really 'slim fit'. I have similar measurements to you, tall and very skinny, and I found a perfect fitting Navy pea-coat with a great subtle check at Topman in the UK. This was a few years ago, and I find the clothing they make now much *******...

    Let's Talk About Replica Watches...

Only read the original post, so I don't know what direction this thread has gone in, but I will say this: You said that no Jeweller could tell that it was fake? Not true. I'm a jeweller, and I could tell. Then, I would refuse to do any work to said watch, including a battery change. I know most...

The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brei

Late to the party. My first automatic (present from my wife). Temporary black strap until I find something nicer. Any feedback on Hirsch? We stock Hirsch at work. IMO, great bands, whatever the price. They have some fantastic cheaper straps, as well as their higher end straps. Long lasting...

Omega restoration - help with details?

Long shot quetion here Ellis but are you Ellis off the SMB? Since I'm not quite sure what SMB stands for, I'll have to say that alas, I am not.

Omega restoration - help with details?

Gold filled/plated cases don't exist (except vintage) anymore, but I had figured they were phased out in the late 50's, early 60's. What were the markings inside the case that brought you to that conclusion? Well, to the best of my knowledge, nowadays gold 'plated' cases are more likely to be...

Omega restoration - help with details?

Hey all, here's a story that is probably too long. I work at a jewellers, and I was recently sifting through some bags of old shite in the store room, when I came across a box of old watch movements. This isn't normally a big deal, we have boxes and boxes of the things out the back. Some with...

    Wearing greys together?

I would also suggest wearing the pants at the corrent height on your waist. They dont look like low rise pants but you are wearing them very low on your waist which makes the crotch look saggy. Thanks for the advice, you're absolutely right.

    Wearing greys together?

Agreed Thanks for the input. What trousers would you guys suggest for the jacket? Black is an obvious choice, because of the black trim on the jacket, but significantly limits my shoe choices! (I only have a single pair of nice black shoes). A darker grey perhaps? Maybe a charcoal?

    Wearing greys together?

From what I can tell, there's not enough of a divergence between the shades of grey, which is what you want when pairing an odd coat with trousers. So I say no. Exactly the thought I had in the back of my mind. I don't want it to look like a terribly paired suit. Thanks for the input!

    Wearing greys together?

Just looking for some quick critique please! I know it is possible to pull of wearing a jacket and trousers that are two different shades of grey. The question is what is the threshold of what looks good? Here are the jacket and trousers in question: Both slightly different shades and...

    Any great compliments lately?

I was on my lunch break, when a random older gentleman stopped me in the centre of a busy town. He told me he had just stopped me to tell I was the best dressed man he'd seen in a long time. To be fair, I did look ******* fly. The last line is a joke by the way, before I alienate myself from...

Getting sick of salespeople in retail

I understand the economy is tough, and everyone's trying to make a sale. I also understand that, to varying degrees, salespeople are rewarded on some sort of commission structure (either personally, or through team/store goals, etc.) I'm aware of it, I get it, and - to the extent that I can - I...
