they're not dallas.. the dallas model has not the "mid round curve" under the bridge... i think that in the current lines of sunglasses the exact is the moscot lemtosh... maybe one day,as for the breakfast at tiffany's famous model,one brand tell us the truth!!- Toivonen

Persol 714 vs 649
eheheh :) i told this when they launched them... the original movie glasses are in a darker colour,and the lens are not with the mirror effect ... when luxottica launched them they took the .56 code lens and put in a 54 size 714....and we are still trying to understand why they choose...- Toivonen

Persol 714 vs 649
There has not been a straight reissue of the 714 model that McQueen wore. First, he had several versions / frame colors. The blue lenses in Thomas Crown were apparently aftermarket lenses (installed by Dennis Roberts) and were never offered by Persol in blue back in the day. Even the reissue...- Toivonen

Persol 714 vs 649
Are those pics from the launch party supposed to be of the McQueen glasses with the blue lenses? If so, you can barely see any color at all in the lenses. Not sure why anyone would pay a premium for this model if they are barely differentiated from the regular models. ahahahahaha this operation...- Toivonen

I believe I suggested the 850 on page one. There are 850s available on ebay, in case you didn't know. hi,and thanks for your post,but they aren't they are almost the same of the persol ratti 850,exept for the "olive" that in the 850 are vertical.... i've tryed to ask directly to persol but they don't know(they say to me look the new 2961s ) ahahah after i send them an email asking them about...- Toivonen

How is it Persol "for sure?" The temple detail doesn't have the Persol arrow or the meflecto bridges. 714/649 are the same except 714s are the the folding version. These two were made famous by McQueen in The Thomas Crown Affair. They are definitely not the 649's. The bridge is all wrong. I suspect they are no longer available as part of Persol's regular collection - they do not appear to be on their site at this time, neither as regular sunglasses nor as iconic ones. I have always heard the same. the sunglasses(like the tailor of the suit)of this movie have been in great debate since a very long time.. i personally found many errors..such as wayfarers or others...the only thing that is for sure is that they are Persol- Toivonen
