    stylish eye glasses

I know I'm in self-imposed internet exile, but I had a question about prescriptions and whatnot. The eye doctor always says I don't need glasses, but when I'm shooting my camera, I set the diopter 2-3 clicks away from neutral to see the viewfinder sharply, and I tried my friend's glasses on the...

Is there a way you can sample a fragrance before you buy it?

many perfume counter will have a little mini-spray bottles that they will fill from samples on display for you to take home. they;re tiny spray bottles that are good for 2-3 uses. i know sephora will do this for you, just tell them you want to sample something for a few days at home.

i have some socks in this pattern, it's hard to tell from the picture the quality but they have good feedback and not so many that they're doing a lot of volume.

    stylish eye glasses

if these are your first pair i would consider not burning a large amount until you know what you need in a pair. at the same time, if you have to wear glasses all day, spending $150 or spending $300 for frames, that $150 is well spent for a pair of comfortable frames that you'll be wearing 12+...

    Filene's Basement Strategy

Three weeks ago, I found the perfect suit at a Filene's Basement -- a solid navy 2-button Oxxford -- which fit me like a glove. This would be an absolute workhorse of a suit. The only problem is that the suit is priced at $1199 (which makes it $899 with the suit sale that they currently have...

    brown eggs vs white eggs

This is untrue. Under the same conditions (diet, health, etc) of the hen, a brown egg and a white egg should taste exactly the same. The reason farmer's market eggs will taste better is a mix of the fact that they're probably much more fresh (2-3 days old versus a week), and instead of being...

    brown eggs vs white eggs

how did you prepare them? i like my eggs soft (boiled or fried, sunny or scrambled), and i can tell the difference. if you add cheese or over-fry them the difference is less noticeable. i would also challenge you to crack a farmers market egg and a supermarket egg into a bowl and look at...

    Vintage Rolex? Help please!

take it to a good watch shop, don't sell it!! it has great family history and while it might not fit your style now it might in a few years. the condition is not that bad for a 60 year old watch, would be great as an everyday watch once you get it working again.

    Mykita Eyewear Opinions/Thoughts...

Just got the top frames from your pic from Georgetown Optician in DC, absolutely delighted. Makes wearing glasses a whole different experience. Of course my crap VSP insurance would pay almost none of it. Fortunately the optician gave a discount. My experience with VSP network providers has been...

    Steam heat-- East Coast

So-- yesterday was the first sweat bath in NYC. 80F, plus what seemed like 99% humidity. Add to this the fact that nobody is in training for the heat, and air conditioning systems haven't really chilled down the insides of buildings yet. I wore cotton/linen shirts and managed to soak two of...

    Stupid Luggage Question

have you checked what kind of plane you will take? keep in mind with all the restrictions lately at least one of your bags need to be able to fit under the seat, and in a worst case scenario you'll be asked to gate-check your larger bag if the plane is too small. in your situation i always...
