Brown Shoes To go With Jeans

If I'm wearing blue jeans with light brown shoes, can I wear dark brown belt with it? Would that look too weird? Light brown belt looks awkward on jeans, at least for me. Plus, I don't have it.

    Dress shoes with jeans.

When it starts to look out of place. Jeans can take pretty much any belt made, khakis as well, depending on what you're wearing them with, and dress slacks only thinner stuff. It's not an exact science, and contrary to the previous poster I wear 1.25 inch belts with jeans all the time. Well...

1.5" or 1.75" belt for jeans 1.25" or 1.5" for khakis 1.25" for dress slacks Thanx for this!

I didn't have a brown belt, so i toke it, but i'm not at all impressed with it. But, i'tll do. The shoes, on the other hand, are amazing, they look stunning. One question - how do you know the belt is too wide or too narrow for the pants?

    Dress shoes with jeans.

I got these: and a belt to match: What do you think? They are hand made by, as said to be, the best shoe maker in Croatia, Strugar . I wasn't able to take photo of me in them, but they look great with jeans. Not so sure about the belt, though.

What about these, do they work with jeans?

Damn....I mean whatever works for you man! I think a light brown brogue wingtip looks badass with dark, raw denim though. Identical to post #114. I think so too, but at the time i decided to trust others.

    Dress shoes with jeans.

Captoes don't flow with denim IMO. Last time i was buying shoes, i tried on both wingtips and captoes, and 4 out of 4 people commented that captoes look great with the jeans i had on, and that wingtips were way over the top. Go figure.

    Dress shoes with jeans.

Thanks for the tips, i get most of it, but i''m a bit puzzled about no-no to captoes, to me they seem to work great, as long as they're not too shiny. I mean, a lot of wingtips are actually captoes. with wings.

Heh, i've got another one - which shoes NOT to wear wih jeans? In the sense - which are too dressy for jeans?

if i'm wearing dark blue jeans, should i go for dark brown shoes or is any brown ok? Shoes would be something along the lines of wingtips or longtips, leather, no suede or anything like that.

First time wearing a suit - help needed

Ha-ha, in the end it turned out white shirt was completely wrong for me, since i'm fairly dark skinned and it creates too much contrast. So I tried blue shirt and it looked great. There was no point in shelling out big buck since i really won't have that so many opportunities to wear the suit...

First time wearing a suit - help needed

Black is more formal, conservative, safe, and boring. This forum loves brown shoes; if you hang around here, you will see SFers gushing over other poster's pictures of their over-priced brown shoes. Your first pair of good leather dress shoes should be black. Goes with everything, hard to go...

First time wearing a suit - help needed

The suits is ok, the rest of the outfit apperas as though your headed to a funeral not a wedding. You need to add soem color to punch up the look. You could add a nice light blue or pink shirt which would go great with the suit and mayeb still get away with using the same tie if you wanted to...

First time wearing a suit - help needed

The only thing that truly looks bad on a man is a lack of confidence. Heh, funny you should mention that, that was my biggest problem. As stupid as it sounds, my self confidence was so low that i always wore wide, baggy, casual outfit. I never wore suits or anything sharp (or whatever you call...

First time wearing a suit - help needed

Ok. A few things. Suit: There is a majority prejudice here against black suits, which I and a minority here do not share. I own three (one chalkstripe, one pinstripe, and one solid). I wear them a lot. I admit, it would be unlikely for me to wear one to a wedding, but there will be others there...
