    Non-distressed/washed American-made flannel-lined jeans?

Does anybody in the States make flannel-lined jeans that haven't been distressed/stonewashed/etc?

    American textiles?

So which mills are left in the States, and what do they produce? I hear Pendleton still makes wool fabrics... Woolrich, Johnson Woolen Mills and Bemidji all seem to. I know there's the Warren Corporation of Stafford Springs, CT, (a subsidiary of Loro Piana) supposedly the lone maker of camelhair...

What Do You Look for In An Undershirt? What makes the perficect undershirt?

100% cotton. Not treated with anything that makes it non-bleachable. Long body and short sleeves. A neck that resists stretching out. Reinforced stitching where the arms meet the body, to avoid holes along the seams. Sold by chest size.

    I Can't Be Bothered

I don't think it's a look that those who are actively style-conscious can pull off. They love clothes too much to be truly indifferent, and it's not a look that is easily imitated. It's sort of like how pre-distressed clothes generally don't look the same as clothes with natural distressing...

    Shirt cuff fit?

How snugly should a shirt cuff fit on the wrist? Does it depend on the type of cuff?

    Fur is Dead.

Great photo, LK. IS it just me, or does it appear that the guy holding the anti-fur poster has on a shearling jacket? Um... hello pot, this is kettle. It's probably a synthetic imitation. Like the tofurkey of the clothing world.

Pants with No Buttons on Back Pockets?

It's the style I prefer. Plenty of non-women's trousers have this type of pocket.

Where would you get fashion cues if SF didn't exist?

Ask Andy About Clothes for standard clothes, Superfuture for streetwear.

Graphic Tees: Why Do Most Suck?

The reason graphic tees suck is because T-shirt designers have forgotten the point behind putting graphics on tees. Fortunately for them, T-shirt purchasers have forgotten the point behind wearing tees with graphics on them, so it all evens out. A graphic tee should express your interests, or...

How seriously are tartan & regimental stripe patterns taken in the UK?

How seriously do people take tartan and regimental/school/club tie patterns in the UK? How readily do people recognize the various designs? In the United States of course people wear them but no one takes them at all seriously. (In my limited experience, anyway.) Emblematic ties still suggest...

    Wearing ties with polos...

Maybe try a tie with a club-collared dress shirt instead?

    Flusser book for women?

It doesn't seem like it should be so very difficult to develop classic style guidelines for women... after all, most guidelines are unisex. Proper fit and fabric selection shouldn't be too terribly different, nor should color combination rules, although a women might get away with cheerier...

    Do you mean it?

Nothing wrong with a little humor. Really it only becomes a problem when it goes too far. Some people take ironies and counter-ironies to such extremes that I doubt they know themselves whether they're serious or not anymore.

    Wool corduroys?

Any idea who might make wool corduroys, or who might carry them?

When is Something Accepted as Classic?

When it is no longer immediately obvious when a piece of clothing is from, except in the broadest of sweeps (ie, it's from the last 50 years), it becomes a classic. I consider black suits to be classic, because although they've fallen out of fashion, they've still been more or less continually...

    So, an embarassing underwear question.

Just make them leopard print. People will think you're a comedian.

    blazer vs. sport coat?

    Metal buttons.

    Gym wear

Nothing wrong with cotton drawstring shorts and an A-shirt. Works fine, look good. If you want to mix it up, just play with the colors.
