    Advice on wearing a bowler

imma be the asshole that goes out on a limb here and says that NOT ALL good style is timeless. It looks ridiculous. The only people still wearing these things are the porters at Trinity Cambridge (look that one up when you get bored).

Where can I buy a cheap suit

SF thrift stores have great stuff, and definitely plan on having it tailored. $50 suit plus $50 in alterations can look like a damn good piece if you're careful.

Bill Clinton and the shoes of the US World Cup football team

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/0..._n_592370.html Shoes look pretty good, Clinton and Obama seem to agree, though for some reason everyone has their pants hemmed wayyyy long

    What belts do I need?

"I have to wear one to work So, my belts are worn EVERY day." Funny, I have to wear one every day to keep my pants on, even on the weekends. And no, these aren't top of the line belts, but they're not top of the line prices either. That said, they're pretty good quality and I would expect them...

    What belts do I need?

a decent normal looking belt can be strangely hard to find. In terms of what to own, a dress black, dress brown, and casual jeans brown should take you 95% of the way there. Biggest considerations beyond color are width and edge finishing. dress...

    Spanking

people seem to be missing the point, there is a fundemental difference between parents and kids - the job of parents is to protect their kids and to teach kids the skills that they need for life. punishment is about keeping kids safe and about teaching them to modify their behavior yes yes, of...

When an OTR suit has very long sleeves

if all else fails, they could always be shortened at the shoulders, but I understand thats a bit of a process.

I think if you hit your kids, then THEY get to hit YOU every time you do something stupid. And don't pretend THAT isn't often.

How do I keep my white shirts looking good?

Rit (the dye people) make a few whiteners. I can't speak from experience but you might want to give them a try..

First tailor-made suit - vents and pleats?

def. flat front considering your size. Have you decided cuffs/no cuffs?

"You look like you're dressed up for a prom!" - How do you take that?

no, no its not. It makes everyone look like a douchey high school kid thats trying to look like a model. Stop trying to damn hard. Good style looks natural, you look like you spent all morning picking out tie tacks. And lose 20 pounds and the pink plaid iphone cover.

square (?) toe loafers. Acceptable or definite NO?

worse than anything is the square bicycle toe, like: ouch that's uggers. I'm generally opposed to square toes. These look reasonably okay, though personally that buckle doesn't do much for me. and besides, all my bicycle shoes look like this:

    Long-sleeved polo shirts

Maybe I should refine that a little. I'm not personally crazy about the collar. Its very soft and light, doesn't seem to have much if any structure to the placket either. Maybe that's your thing, maybe not. And if you do go with them be careful with the body measurements and if I was doing it...

Thick as Thieves says my 43" chest is too big?

there is only really one main pattern for the TaT suits, and it can only be scaled so far before it starts to look out of proportion because it is so slim to begin with. Its a relatively low volume operation and Jason would much rather not sell you a suit than sell you one that doesn't look great.
