The Grasmere in Kudu is stunning......I have some here in all three colours if you might like a pair and for what it is worth, 'Sign', a deep dark Burgundy is my favourite colour ;-)- Tricker's Expert!!

Always the only way to be sure how well a shoe fits is to try them on, but if it might help I can offer you some general information. Tricker's themselves consider Half a Size difference between UK and US Sizes, so a regular fitting and true to size US8D, I would consider equivalent true to size...- Tricker's Expert!!

You certainly can, but on the Uppers, I prefer a 'Cream', to help nourish and moisturise the leather. Wax of course for a higher shine and perhaps better waterproofing properties ?- Tricker's Expert!!

Use a good quality Neutral (no colour) cream and hard Neutral Wax for the top of the Welt and the Sole Edge. If you use a darker polish they will go darker over time, and the more you apply, the darker they will likely go. Richard.- Tricker's Expert!!

It looks like the Longwing's are built on 81 Last which in my experience most will find more or less true to size. If....they are a US Size (you would need to check that) then US 10 1/2 or 11 in that shoe. Tricker's consider Half a Size difference between UK and US Sizes, so a regular fitting...- Tricker's Expert!!

I work with many many customers in my store, and I always tell them the same. Consider a shoe 'snug' fititng new from the box, and if it is only snug and not tight, then 5 or 6 times wear maximum should be enough for a snug fitting shoe to give and become comfortable for a full days wear...- Tricker's Expert!!

If you take an Insole that works well under the forefoot, a friendly cobbler (if you have one local) could easily scour most of the thickness away under the Heel for you in seconds ;-)- Tricker's Expert!!

You might try a removable Insole of varying thickness in those my friend, which will take some of the volume out making the creases a little less ?- Tricker's Expert!!

In my experience, most wearers including myself will find 4497s (Stow Last) more generous in Width and Volume than W2298. Wether any will find it different enough to necessitate a size change can only be found by trying them on. Remember too that these very high quality shoes can feel snug in...- Tricker's Expert!!

In 'Type' above the hand written 'Last Number', is the word 'Fitting'. It is usually the Width Fitting of the shoe written here on boxes that are used for 'regular' stock. :-)- Tricker's Expert!!

You know I had some Logger Boots MTO on W2298 Last one time, and although we are all different with different size, shape and volume requirements, I find W2298 closer fitting than 4497s in Width and Volume. Remember having all these Lasts in stock, I can try them on and make reasonable...- Tricker's Expert!!
