    Sizing Consistency Among MyTailor Shirts

I don't know that a .5 inch difference is that unusual, considering that you ordered shirts in a wide variety of fabrics. But if some of them don't fit anymore, bring them to Joe the next time he is in town and ask him what he can do for you. Usually he's pretty accommodating about fixing things.

    Suit Fit Critique/Help Please

I wish the lapels were a little wider, the gorge a little lower, the buttoning point a tad lower, the pants cuffed instead of hemmed, the sleeve pitch adjusted, and the waist given a bit of definition. But your question is whether anything is "really off," and I think, apart from the...

Yet Another Critique My MTM Shirt 2/1 Update

Oops I just realized I got it from moderntailor.com not mytailor.com I'm adding an inch to the shoulders and length and two inches to the sleeves. This should fix the sleeve length. I'm adding half an inch to the chest and waist. Does that sound good? Hard to tell from the pictures, but it...

    Please comment my shirt!

Do you intend to wear it untucked like that? If not, it probably needs an addition two inches or so of length.

    MyTailor.com vis-a-vis ModernTailor.com

This. If you're considering ordering from MyTailor, go Thomas Mason or don't go at all. Most of the non-TM fabrics leave quite a bit to be desired. TM Silver or Gold are great. The only instance in which I'd recommend the lower-end fabrics is for your first one or two orders. You'll need a few...

    Versace tie authenticity check please

If the OP was actually shilling a product he's selling, instead of asking a good-faith question, why would he point to an aspect of the product--e.g., the unusual tag--that appear to call its authenticity into question?

    New Online Shirtmaker - Ledbury

Am I missing the MTM part? No. According to the FAQ on the website, there is no MTM. The OP was just mistaken on this point.

Alden worth the price diff over AE? (can of worms)

If that is really the case, then it doesn't make any any sense to me... alden puts a steel shank in all shoes irrespective of whether they have 360 or 270-degree welt. I remember Ron (RIDER) saying that having a shank is overrated. Shanks are needed only when the waist area of the shoe is...

Alden worth the price diff over AE? (can of worms)

I know why they look like that, I just don't know why they do it. Is a 360 welt a selling point for someone? I believe the justification for the 360 degree welt is that it allows them to make a shoe without a steel shank, which they claim makes the shoe more comfortable to walk in.

Vitale Barberis is decent and reasonably priced.

Does anyone own a Jos A Banks Signature Evening Suit?

This is another cheap option. http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/product.asp...earSuits!17233 Stylistically, it looks to be correct except that the lapels appear to be satin rather than grosgrain.

    Anyone Used MyTailor Recently?

I think I've placed around four orders at this point, and I've never had them take anywhere near nine weeks to arrive. It usually takes around five. Maybe they happen to be particularly busy right now.

Brooks Brothers Suit Fit Question. Can this be fixed?

I'm no expert, but it doesn't look too bad to me--especially considering what you paid for it. The front of the jacket looks pretty good, I think, and the issue with the ripples around the armholes doesn't render the jacket unwearable. I certainly wouldn't say that you were hosed. It seems like...

Where do I get a suit hand-pressed in DC?

There is a place in Chevy Chase called Parkland Cleaners or Parkway Cleaners or something like that. They are pricey (with cleaning and pressing the bill was close to $50) but good. There is also a place in Logan Circle called Sun Cleaners or something similar. I never had them hand press a...

    Good Chicago hairstylists

I go to 316 Barber, located at Jackson and Wells in the Loop. I've been pretty satisfied. Around $50 for a cut. There is also a Truefit and Hill in Chicago (I think in the Wrigley Building).

Jantzen Super Fine European Cotton Fabric

Also, can someone please explain the measurements for the collars? The larger number is the length of the points, but what is the smaller one? Collar height? (btw: will they adjust collar point length accordingly if you choose 2" collar?) The smaller number is the height of the collar in the...

Feedback please on fit of my first MTM Mytailor.com

I think this looks pretty good. Significantly better than my first suit from Hemrajani.

    Help with ordering from Mytailor.com

Professor, I can appreciate this post. MTM tailors add no value in terms of fashion advice or style advice. They are basically contract manufacturers making things to your specs. This means you must consider all the specs. The MyTailor website and traveling tailors do a nice job of walking you...
