Brooks Brothers Sales & Fitzgerald Suit

Hey everyone, I started a topic yesterday regarding a Boss Red suit I was considering and aside from turning into a black suit debate it made me realize all the other options I have out there for my price range (thanks to all you guys). So I'm considering the Fitzgerald suits from Brooks...

    Brooks Brothers 1818 Suits

Might be worth a shot, does anyone happen to have these in size 36s? I'm looking for a navy or charcoal suit that's more youthful and modern. Even if it's not BB, I would like to know if anyone has something for sale.

Opinion on Hugo Boss 'Red' Suits

Thank you all for your replies, they're all very insightful. I'll be looking at Ted Baker and Paul Smith also. I'm wondering if the shoulders are heavily padded on those? My only requirements are lightly padded shoulders, two button, flat front pants, 100% wool (or close to it) and a slim...

Opinion on Hugo Boss 'Red' Suits

Thanks you all for your advice. I won't be getting this in black, most likely charcoal or navy. While I know there's a debate as to whether black is appropriate for interviews or not, I feel that charcoal or navy is more versatile. I've seen these at macy's and other department stores before...

Opinion on Hugo Boss 'Red' Suits

Hey all, I've been searching for a decent quality slim-fitting suit in the price range of between $500 and under $1k for some upcoming interviews I'm going to have. Most suits I've purchased have padded shoulders which I hate. I already have well developed shoulders and I want to avoid the...

    Flat front wool trousers, MTM?

I was looking for the same thing as you and just ended up buying some Ralph Lauren flat-front pants on sale from Macy's for $50 and having them tailored to be slimmer for another $50 a pair. Now they fit perfectly. Just make sure you get 100% wool.

If you had to choose between these two suits...

Definitely the second (Arnold Brant) suit. The cut looks better and the material is superior (no rayon shell).

Quality of Brooks Brothers and Jos A Bank Slimfit Shirts

style gen Your tailor was referring to the collars and cuffs. I doubt the side seams were closed with a glue gun. Johnny Flapjack you sound like a candidate for custom shirts. Yes, online is chaeper, but it will be just as frustrating. have yourself measured. Carl Yes I think that's what he...

Quality of Brooks Brothers and Jos A Bank Slimfit Shirts

Yeah I'm sure you're right. The only thing that's bothering me is that all I had him do was take in the sides and the sleeves, which makes me think that he was referring to the seams on the sides as well (not just the collar). Another thing about the non-iron shirts these companies make is...

Quality of Brooks Brothers and Jos A Bank Slimfit Shirts

Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster, hoping you guys can provide me with some insight. I recently took some non-iron slimfit shirts from brooks brothers and Jos A Bank to my tailor and when he finished the job, he told me to not buy from these companies again because they were...
