Sorry, but I'm reviving this thread. Can anyone name any tailors in Seoul offering bespoke service on the level of W.W. Chan & Sons? If they can speak some English, that would be even better. The tailoring prices in Seoul might make a short trip there well worth my while if they will do a few...- maclock

If you want top bespoke in HK, then A-Man Hing Cheong in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 5 Connaught Rd., Hong Kong, China Phone: 2522-3336 or Baroman (9 Queens rd central). In either case, you'll want at least 4-5 days and as many fitting as possible. Are both better than WW Chan & Sons?- maclock

A Chan roll-call
One two-button chalk stripe. Solid suit with a good fit. Felt strangely unfinished at one point in time, like there were stiff threads poking through the fabric at the seams. Canvas, perhaps? Bespoke tailoring in Tokyo?
Surely, in the city of craftsmen that is Tokyo, there must be an affordable bespoke tailor somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions to offer? I'd like to avoid using the travelling Indian tailors out of Hong Kong if at all possible. After-sales service will be a problem with the Hong Kong lot.- maclock

Are these guys any good? I used WW Chan once in the past, and they were very good, indeed, but they don't come to Tokyo and I don't see myself going to Hong Kong anytime soon.
