Interestingly enough, the regular achilles I can't size down, but the mids are too big, so yes I would have sized down in your case. The mids have a different shape and feel too loose without sizing down- Grolubao

It really depends on the model I've come to understand. The classic white low achilles suffers from this, I've seen it in many models. Others such as suede ones are just fine.- Grolubao
