Common Projects Achilles, SS11 Summer Edition, Sz. 43

Gently used pair of Common Projects, SS11 Achilles summer edition (perforated with nubuck toe/tongue). Size 43. Black with gum sole — IMHO, the nicest color combo of last year's summer editions. Selling these only because I downsized too aggressively, so these don't fit. Worn 20ish times...

    The WAYWT Discussion Thread

I dig random's fit. Might look better with the hood down though, I get the feeling it's distorting the proportions. Oh, and can everyone please stop quoting Moo? Those of us with him on ignore would greatly appreciate it.

How do you retire your old denim? Not "When" but "How".

I have an uncle who is into denim, and he made a stand/sidetable thing out of an old pair. He stuffed the jeans with newspaper, coated 'em with some type of decoupage-type stuff so they would stand freely, and then, after they dried, fitted a board inside the waistband. He then did the same...

TOJ - updates on the debacle, complaints, news about other ventures, whatever.

Ha. Fair point. Plus, just remembered the brand Unis - too similar. Like I said, off the top of my head...gonna keep thinking 'bout it.

TOJ - updates on the debacle, complaints, news about other ventures, whatever.

Late to the naming party, perhaps, but I'm a marketing consultant and do my fair share of product naming. So, a few options of the top of my head: Onus: While its traditional interpretation is synonymous with "burden," it could also be thought of as "on us" in the sense that TOJ was born...

    Everyday Carry (Picture Edition)

Wait...I get it now. By busting out a desert eagle, a Rambo-ass knife and a five-pound bag of jerky I can finally put an end to all those "man purse" comments...sweet. (In all seriousness, my grandfather was also a responsible, concealed-weapon-permit-holding, NRA-loving gun enthusiast...that...

    3sixteen Denim Series, Bracelets, Shirts...

Really appreciate the help, and good to know about SE's method for thigh measurements. Sounds like 32 is right for me.

    3sixteen Denim Series, Bracelets, Shirts...

Question for the collective...searched the thread, but still a bit confused. Looking to pick up a pair of SL100s, and can't decide if I should get 32s or 33s. My true waist is 33, but I typically need a thigh of at least 11.75. So, should I go with the 33s, which would be the best fit for my...

FIT BATTLE OCTOBER: Time to Poll!

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

Would be great if I could find something in the $200 to $250 range, but price is more of a secondary factor. And yeah, I'm looking for stitching that matches the color of the denim. Love my Iron Hearts as much as the next guy, but looking to get away from orange stitching for my next pair of...

I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.

Question for all the denim heads: I'm looking for a pair of raw, straight-legs with non-constrast stitching. Any ideas? Fits that have worked for me in the past include APC Rescues, NDG Regular Fits and IH634s. Obviously tons of options with contrast stitching, but would love to switch it up...

How can you be fashionable as a bigger guy with some meat?

Focus on your weight for the next four to six months. And while you're at it, also start saving some cash so that, once you've slimmed down, you can reward yourself with new clothes that properly highlight your improved physique. The old one-two punch, or something like that...

Panta: a first peek at a new high quality pants line

Very nice. I see a pair or two of Pantas in my future (not to be confused with the much less desirable pantis). Any chance you could post a thigh measurement for the 32s and 34s, Ed?

Narrow waist, large thighs: what are my options for trousers?

I feel your pain. I've spent a lot of time and money buying size 34 (or 36) trousers and having my tailor take in the waist. Now I'm slowly replacing all of 'em with MTM, and the results are much better. Perhaps you could try internet MTM, if local options are too spendy?

Have you been caught red by your partner buying expensive items without telling her?

Not much of an issue, because my wife and I follow a budget that allows us both to pursue our individual interests equitably. However, every once and a while she will discover how much something costs -- say, a pair of good shoes -- and ask why I care so much about clothes/appearance. My...

    Random fashion thoughts

Funny; I know exactly how you feel. I have a very good job and work in the city, but as a pseudo ski bum I have a whole group of friends who live the mountain life. Hell, they probably don't even know what I do for a living or what I look like when I'm not in XL Oakley. I will never forget...
