The 2023 Allen Edmonds (AE) Appreciation Thread

If you run from one eyelet to the next up the edge rather than diagonally across, you won't see anything behind the bars. https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/straightbarlacing.htm

The 2023 Allen Edmonds (AE) Appreciation Thread

I also have a moderately wide/high foot and I'm also currently struggling with the Daltons. I have a pair of 9.5E walnut Strands that have broken in nicely. I wouldn't want them to be any more snug, but I can wear them all day without thinking about them. They have about a 1 cm gap when laced...

Former AE CEO Paul Grangaard launches online MTM shop

Local news article: http://www.startribune.com/former-allen-edmonds-ceo-launches-online-upscale-clothier-circlerock/493358641/ Official site: https://circlerock.com/ Made-in-USA from an online MTM shop definitely piques my curiosity. Definitely not going after the same market as shops like...

New Joseph Abboud line at Men's Warehouse

Bump. I went today to check them out. The custom route seems like it could be worthwhile. $600 for a MTM with the usual options for ticket pocket, surgeons cuffs, etc. Suits are made in MA and alterations are included in the cost. I'll probably pull the trigger on one when charcoal becomes...

New Joseph Abboud line at Men's Warehouse

Searched and didn't find much on these. Anyone own one of these or have experience with them? From what I gather, they are slim fit, half canvased, and soft shoulders. Their site shows them retailing for $500 which sounds like a decent price with those features on paper.

    Qualities of a Quality Suit

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately for me, with a 41 chest and 36 arms, finding clothes that fit can present a challenge of its own, let alone fit well.

    Qualities of a Quality Suit

Hello all, I'm currently a junior in college and I'm looking at buying a suit or two for interviews and such. For a college student, I know a good amount about dressing professionally. I know less about the finer points of quality mensware. Here's my question: When I see someone wearing a good...

Summer Wedding On A Beach Dilema

I'd probably go with a linen suit and no tie. You could wear some leather sandals with that and just find a belt that matches. Otherwise you'll have sand in your shoes all night long.

Where to get a 39L suit

If this is your criteria for wearing a long rather than a regular you are wrong. Please refer to this http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=71584 thread. The arm length can be altered, the coat cannot. However I do note that some R jackets have less extra fabric in the sleeves than others...

Where to get a 39L suit

Yeah, I have really long arms. I wear a 15 36 shirt, which is hard enough to find. I'll check out Paul Stuart.

Where to get a 39L suit

This is my first post on here but I've been reading for a while. I'm in college and looking to buy my first good suit. My only problem has been finding anything that fits. I'm 5'10" and 160 lbs. I need a 39L jacket, however no place I've been to carries that size. This spring I'll be in New...
