Tailoring a waxed cotton jacket?
Looks like tailoring isn't an option due to the level of skill required as its virtually remodelling the entire jacket. Time to hit the gym and whack an extra inch on my shoulders instead which is no biggie. *ponders how his 48 jackets will fit when he's swole* :plain:- tecevo

Yup. If I were to take that approach I'd dry clean it first to remove all of the wax as that way would at least ensure an even finish and then I'd rewax it myself after the treatment but still it seems like a risky proposition as it feels like it could kill the finish quick smart. It is what it is, the jackets fit isn't that bad and can be accentuated if I'm wearing a thick jumper underneath but I prefer a more snug fit. Tailoring a waxed cotton jacket?
Picked up a waxed cotton jacket in size 50 as it was the only one left in stock when I'm more of a 48. The jacket fits as you'd expect and is a bit loose around the shoulders, arm length and the torso and I'd like to get these aspects tailored for a perfect fit. New Boots: Break-in Discomfort or Remedy in Order?
The aim is not to cook them but apply a moderate amount of heat from a sensible distance to allow the material to flex. Personally I tend to spend quite a bit of time when doing this and it works really well as it achieves the same fit just without the pain.- tecevo

Personally I like the tip of wearing an oversized pair of socks and then heating up the discomfort point with a hairdryer as you move your toes around in order to customize the stretch/fit of the shoe before applying some conditioner to the leather. Fully agree. Whilst the slps may be 10/10 for looks they are 7/10 for comfort which I suppose is a given thanks to the super slim silhouette and leather soles. Only thing with those crepe soles is they lose a lot of their looks as they are worn.- tecevo
