Flannel DB would be boss. Saw and old pic of Jeffrey D's flannel DB and I've been obsessed with it since.

Don't recall, but this is one of the reasons, among many others, why I go bespoke, even if it means I can only afford three pieces as opposed to 10 ill-fitting and uncomfortable ones. This is awesome. I'm thinking about my next commission either being a peak or a DB.

That was my one regret at my wedding. I had bought a brand new tie from Barney's, and it was thicker than I usually wear, and had the damnedest time trying to get that perfect dimple that looks effortless. I failed. But aside from those in the know, no one noticed....except me!

    Barcelona shoes

Hey guys, I'm in Barcelona for next three days. Any recommendations for Spanish fashion, particularly shoe boutiques?

I am freakishly short and thin - what can I do to look better in a suit?

I'm making a point that after going both routes, my bespoke fits better than my MTM, and having the hindsight, I would have gone down that road waaaay earlier (i.e. I wasted money on 2-3 MTM that could have gone to one bespoke). It is true that not all bespoke is the be all and end...

I am freakishly short and thin - what can I do to look better in a suit?

Couldnt agree more. Coming from someone with experience from two local MTM shops, plus one bespoke shop before coming to the venerable Despos, I can say after having 6-7 MTMs made, that if I were to do it all over again, I would have gone straight for bespoke. I never wear my MTM anymore...

I agree whole-heartedly. The experience working with Chris has been an absolute pleasure. His skill level is beyond reproach, but what I find even more impressive is his passion for what he does. I always enjoy my visits with him for this very reason. This is indeed the second and...

I just meant perhaps he can talk more about the actual technical details of what the posters were discussing regarding the armscythe, etc. Or perhaps it may be better addressed in the Tailor thread. I am in no way knowledgeable enough to respond, and in fact find no problems with it...

Here's a closer back shot. Looks great to me. I don't really see any problems with the armsleeve. It seems impossible not to have wrinkles there, as I will be moving. It's possible to have no wrinkles in a pic, but when you're moving around, I don't see how that won't happen. I...

It actually seems very difficult to get across the beautiful hue of green/donegal of this jacket with my camera. I may try a different shot when I get home today (I'm wearing it now with a red sweater and that may show the shade of green and the specks better). Perhaps it is how I'm...

Don't mean to derail the thread, but here are some items I have received from the master himself: 1) Reddish Brown jacket (I don't have the specific source/material info. Perhaps Chris can clarify if y'all really interested) Proof: 2) Green Jacket And a couple of pants:

    Dinner Recs in Chicago

My fave BBQ is still Smoque, on Pulaski. Lilly's Q has a better rub, but the meat is not fall off the bone like the ribs at Smoque.

    Dinner Recs in Chicago

Hey Chris, I love Ethiopian, and there is a nice selection in Chicago, mostly north (Uptown, Edgewater, Evanston). I've been to Demera, Diamond, Lalibela, Mama Desta's, and Ras Dashen. My favorite by far, in terms of quality of food, consistency and atmosphere is Ras Dashen. I've been...

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III

^ Swap the jacket for a solid navy and you would have had me. Why do you still have your Christmas cards up? Because it makes me happy!
