The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brei

Thanks - I actually had that Seiko, and then sold it several years ago. It's a real beauty, looked much more expensive than it was, and was probably the one my wife liked the best of the few watches I've owned.

For mechanical watches, I generally prefer no-date dials. That JLC is one of the few that I would make an exception for (preferably the older 37mm MC model due to my skinny wrists).

who has the fewest pairs of shoes?

i realize i'm probably not going to get a lot of replies on this forum to a thread asking for the least amount of a specific item of clothing. in particular, i'm sure many of you have footwear in the double digits. rereading my original post, i guess in a broader sense i've been thinking...

that's a really cool watch (an understatement). i have to say that when i hit "play," i was a bit surprised by the music. not that i didn't like it (i think "chaiyya chaiyya" is great song); i just wasn't expecting it.

i thought it was an omega - looks great! nice story behind owning it - it makes it that much more special. i was wearing the nomos when my twins (my first - and likely last - children!) were born last year. my son will get the watch someday. (besides what my wife is going to pass down to...

mimo - happy to be of service. as i think you might suspect, my wrists are indeed quite small. around 6" give or take a little. if i could change anything about my watch, i would shorten the lugs a bit (if that were possible). they don't quite overhang my wrists, but they come close...

this is my first post on the forum besides an introduction post. i look forward to going through this thread - there are some really spectacular watches here. i'd like to share some photos of my watch, a nomos tangente sport index:

    Introduce yourself.

hi all; 35 years old. stay-at-home dad of twin toddlers. for as long as i can remember, it's always felt good to dress (what i thought) was nicely. however, i never did know much about fashion and style. still don't - which is why i joined the forum, to observe, learn, and cultivate my own...
