If you wanted the turtlenecks for warmth, another option would be sweaters with a shawl collar, that covers the back of your neck but not where your beard is. Why don’t you ask him directly and report back? Someone who is constantly on the move probably puts a premium on versatile timeless pieces that can withstand the rigors of travel, and would be a good source for BIFL and travel gear recommendation.- fazalmajid

I also visited both locations and lived close to the newer, sadder one before I moved from San Francisco to London, when I bought one of their backpacks as a final souvenir after 19 years of living there.
