Show us how you roll in Engineered Garments

The Khan model is an old one before they changed it to “London” which is slightly narrower. The Khan is more akin to a cut down desert boot shape . Great show if you can find em .

    Edinburgh and London Shopping Recommendations

Dicks ( Edinburgh) is a great place to pick up a piece of local clothing ( jumpers , coats etc ) .

As soon as someone calls out your bullshit you start ? and don’t answer - seen it a few times from you now . You start it and then can’t finish it . ?? ??

Grow up . It’s not all about you on this thread. I used to do some work for Levi’s round about 2000-2007 and know a lot about all the LVC campaign and would post here if anyone needed some info or what not . I also worked in the wool industry when I was young, so I know about wool also . What...

You also argued with me about how Lee were better denim than LVC... Until you got a pair of LVC and declared them the finest denim you ever had ?

I also asked for the made in Japan label also ... Why don’t you check that ?

I say the same thing as I said before - it’s made of cheap Chinese cashmere - same as you find in a high street store for about £100 a jumper . It’s rubbish compared to the real thing . Nothing personal IC btw - just an easily research able fact .

Back to news Write a comment James Bond creator Ian Fleming was a devoted fan of Sea Island cotton. He frequently wore the fabric, and often dressed his literary creation, James Bond, in it too. In homage, Sunspel and The Ian Fleming Estate have come together to produce a range of menswear made...

I think we established that you didn’t know what “the look” was in the first place . Too much red wine ? perhaps Frenchie ?

Inspector - stop with the casual name calling bullshit please “ I suspect for you it means the same “ No I don’t think Japanese and Chinese are the same - go check your “cashmere jumper” label, in fact since you like taking pictures so much, put up a picture of the label so I can see the...

I was born here IC and hey we Scots love the French (even irate Parisians) ! It’s in our DNA. ( not just because the French are way more stylish than the English either ) !

I used to work in the wool industry for a bit and trust me REAL cashmere just does not compare to Chinese fake stuff . Just a fact - don’t take it so personally Inspector .

Well Frenchie, if the “look” is about wearing quality stuff - Uniqlo is not quality. I think you are talking about their polo shirts, non ? I was talking about the brand in general. The cotton they use just can’t be compared - no matter how you spin it, a pair of sunspel boxers or a tee shirt...

Like comparing a Burberry coat with a high st one .. Sunspel is sunspel because of the Sea Island cotton they use . Sure high st retailers sell cashmere jumpers for £100 - but a real one (£4-500) will not bobble and will last a lifetime - much like a sunspel t shirt compared with a uniqlo one .

    The Look goes on...

Yes Mr K . Also the white lines that develop in the outside seam where the selvedge is . My preference is that there is no hem required at all, then the original hem ( Levi’s especially ) develops what is called a “rope” or “ roping effect” which looks perfect over time. . I have wore “raw”...

Yes ! No lighter suede footwear . Jackets and tops too. Limits your choice of what to wear with them . It’s actually a bit of a pain to live with the dye transfer issue, but worth it after a year or two and a couple of washes . I have an indigo dyed sweatshirt type top which is also a pain to...

That’s the turn up style I’m gonna try on the next raw/unwashed pair I buy. Gets a nice look at the hem over time when the denim starts to fade . Btw - Yorky, as regards to washing etc with raw denim . I tend to wear them infrequently at first and leave them outside on a cold (dry!) night or...

    The Look goes on...

I’ve seen a lot of old pics (mods/skins) where they turn them up inside like a normal hem to make them sit above or on the ankle. Not a look you ever see now . The outside turn ups are more rocker / 50’s style . The new craze for turn ups only started about 20 years ago with the rise of the...
