    The Sydney Tailors Thread

Any recent experiences for a blazer? Keep leaning to P Johnson (most of the negative reviews I’ve seen are 2+ years old)... and none of the other MTM’s have enough comments to give confidence...

Who are the best suit tailors in Sydney?

    Any new thoughts here?

Australian Members - Part II - if you read the first post, you'll get what this is all about.

Mrs. needs a new jacket for work, thought MTM works - athletic shoulders, long arms, small waist makes it hard for anything off the rack to work... even with tailoring. Been to a couple of tailors in Sydney who don't do ladies ... Any experiences/advice here?

Can you alter a fully lined to a half/quarter lined suit?

Had a made-to-measure suit. Love it, and the dimensions. But I wanted half/quarter lined and they gave me fully lined. Is this possible and worth a fight with my tailor (a top guy in Singapore), or should I just sweat it out?

A visit to Kevin Seah - Bespoke tailor in Singapore

Really really happy customer of Kevin's. Quite progressive fabric and the way he thinks about bespoke hip customisations is compelling.

Shoe care: timing and best products?

I've spent 20 minutes looking at all the shoe care forums, and since I'm a dumb ivy league MBA'er, I need things spelled out for me (frequency, purpose, and products). Appreciate your help telling me where I'm good, or where I'm not. In return for your dragon wisdom, I'll update this top post to...

How To Dress For My Size And Shape

lose two inches in your chest, will make your life easier when buying a suit. sure you could alter the pants but thats a pain, and more likely than not the sleeves on a 40R will be to long for you...at least in my experience (i use to be 5 10, 40 chest, 30 waist, now 38 chest life is easier)...

How often do you go to the barber/hair-stylist?

I get it cut every 3-5 weeks. If it's towards 5 weeks I'm really shaggy.. I should go every 3 weeks but I just don't have time

    Hitting Calgary for a week!

Sit down in Eau Claire at lunch and oggle lululemon women running... Cowboys is best on Thursday nights - work there 6 months, get free boobs (don't know if Vicars still has that policy)
