I would also enjoy a dissection of a Gucci MTM suit. From the Ermenegildo Zegna Su Misura factory in Switzerland, the raw material that Zegna uses for Gucci MTM is quite nice (100% silk thread and lining). External handwork is apparent though I suspect the internals would be more minimal. This...

Certainly am! Recently arrived back in Toronto for a few weeks before I continue with our Spring 2023 trunk show dates. My last stop will be in Montreal in the coming weeks.

Hi all, Has anyone used Farre by Emmanuel in the Yorkville village for a resole? I’m looking to have two Edward Green boots and a pair of Vass boots resoled with a commando sole rather than their original leather soles to be better equipped for our Toronto weather. Happy to pay whatever for...

Does anyone know where I can find alligator straps for watches? I’m looking to replace a Camille Fournet from years ago.

Does anyone know if Stefano Bemer will be hosting a trunk show in Toronto again? I find their shoes (especially on the J last) to be quite elegant.

    St. Crispin's Appreciation Thread

Ever since Leatherfoot sprung up in Toronto, I’ve been ordering StC’s on my personal last. However, this time around was uniquely difficult as Phillip recommended a trial shoe again since I had never ordered loafers prior to this pair (And Leatherfoot has now closed its doors permanently so a...

    St. Crispin's Appreciation Thread

I finally got to snap a few photos of my latest StC's. Side note: It's always been a very tight competition for my favorite loafer. I feel the Saint Crispin Mod 539 and Stefano Bemer's penny loafer on the J last are absolute perfection but I've only admired Stefano Bemer shoes from a distance...

Those companies offered associate packages as well, but on a rarer basis. Prices would be just a hair under what you had quoted for Zegna for E. Zegna and TF. Brand Specialists (Eg. TF Specialist) would receive additional clothing allowances from their respective brand. Whereas the Canadian...

This is correct. I worked at Harry’s for many years prior, and staff received heavy discounted “packages” from different companies throughout the year. Coppley suits would start at around $300, Samuelsohn at around $380, Eton shirts at $80, Allen Edmonds at $100 etc.

We certainly do. Though I dont have any full details yet as I’m fairly new and have not hosted one yet, I will be travelling across Canada to do trunk shows starting later this year. The only event in my calender currently is our MTM shoe event this month on the 25th. We have a specialist from...

I was offered the position to become the National Director for Gucci’s “DIY” program for Canada. This encompasses tailoring for both men and women, denim, and outerwear including silks, denim and leathers. Essentially anything you can wear, Gucci can make, the program is quite extensive. It also...

Looking back, I didn’t come across anything particularly upsetting other than the scathing review that was brought to my attention on yelp. To be fair, that review was a combination of in-store misunderstandings, exaggerated criticisms and often misleading or downright slander. I hope SF can...
