    suit restructure

I have a few older 2B suits that have very low lapels. Is it possible to have these taken to 3-button and have the lapels subsequently shortened? Has anyone undergone this procedure, and how was the outcome, if so?

    Overcoats/Topcoats

Curious, is it essential that an overcoat worn over a suit extend past the knee? I am short, just shy of 5'5", and I always feel ridiculous in long coats. I have a cashmere/wool blend coat that comes down to a couple of inches above my knee, and fits well in the shoulder with a suit...

    j. lindeberg one

I have no experience with J. Lindeberg jeans, other than what I have seen in their boutiques, but they have a variety of cuts and those do not appear all that slim. From the measurements the seller provided it looks like the waist runs true to size, but they may stretch a little since they're raw.

Has anyone ever had a tailor completely rehaul a pair of jeans?

They aren't your standard jeans.... http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ME:L:LCA:CA:11 I've put them on ebay already but would absolutely love to keep them. My question is, assuming it's worth it to me, is it a possibility without completely screwing them up? It's possible to completely...

    Removing "Ray Bans" logo

Tell your girlfriend to do it with some of her nail-polish remover. Should come right off. Just my personal opinion, I think you're being overly sensitive about something that small. That would be like removing the name of your watch from the dial.

    RRL in store

I'm on the East Coast, and I've only visited the RRL store in Georgetown/DC. The selection was very good; a wide array of wahses and products. To my dismay however, the jeans did not look or feel to be on par with the older Japanese made jeans, IMO. The salesguy told me that it's the same...

choosing between two watches, help! (pics)

Both are old man watches, but of the two, I'd go for the DJ, which is at least more versatile and more masculine.

    Watch questions

I don't care for that particular watch, especially because I don't like integrated bracelets. I also feel that anything over $200 for a quartz watch is a waste of money, but that could be argued either way in terms of practicality, and is my own assessment. Personally, if I were to purchase a...

Does a persons dress affect your impression of them?

A person's dress absolutely affects my impression of them. Style is an art, and dress is it's expression. Of course, some people are entirely unconcerned or unaware of that, and that doesn't make them bad people any more than a lousy painter is a bad person or a talented sculptor is necessarily...

    Advice needed for a shortie

I have a similar body shape; I am 5'5 and 150 lbs, but I'm broad and muscular and I like very fitted clothes, but generally tops and jackets that fit my shoulder and chest are either too long or too baggy in the midsection. Sleeves are almost always too long and I almost always have to have my...

tie + t shirt? cool or stupid?

That looks marsupialed, IMO. If I saw some dude wearing that I'd have a good laugh at his expense. In fact, the whole t-shirt over the dress shirt makes me want to wear my underpants on my head.

when do brown shoes match and not match?

If you feel like it clashes then you shouldn't attempt it or you'll feel self-conscious while wearing it. Personally, though, I agree with you. I don't like brown shoes with black pants or outfits that have lots of black unless it's all functional workwear or military garb. The only times I...

    Remember the gay advice kid?

I agree with many of the comments here, and I think that it's kind of ridiculous that having a sartorial aesthetic is sometimes considered gay. However, I think that plenty of gay people attempt to affirm the stereotype, and often to such an extent, that flamboyant and outrageous dress is just...

    Remember the gay advice kid?

Last year, I recall someone posted a link to this kid's youtube blogs where he gave mediocre fashion advice and swore by bootcut jeans. Looks like yahoo is giving him accolades.
