Best MTM suit in NYC for $1,000 - $1,500?

I didn't see any recent posts with this info, so thought I'd post a thread. Does anyone have a GREAT recommendation for best (quality and professional tailor) MTM suit in NYC for $1-1.5K? I'm looking to buy a high quality navy suit that I can use as my primary year-round suit. Looking for a...

Putting on weight after buying a suit

Do you think the difference between a 38R and 39R is noticeable in appearance? My thing is that 38R is very form fitting now, so it seems to me that there is no room at all to "fill it out", so that when I do fill it out, I'll have to toss out something that cost me ~$700+, whereas a 39R is...

Putting on weight after buying a suit

Thanks. That is really solid advice. So I kind of gather that you think a 39R would look about the same as a 38R does now, and give a little room for filling out, so is probably the better buy in this specific instance?

Putting on weight after buying a suit

Great advice. Thanks. I do need to buy another and will probably need to get up to 3 shortly after due to a new job. Getting back into the gym routine is pretty easy for me so I'm confident I'll add ~10lbs of muscle over a year. It would definitely make it easier to make a purchase decision...

Putting on weight after buying a suit

Hello, I'm thinking about making my second suit purchase after owning one for a couple years. Now seems like a good time given BB's semi-annual sale. However, I'm worried about buying one that fits very well now and then growing out of it. I'm 24, 5'10", and about 158lbs. I haven't been to the...

Do any of these tie/shirt combinations work for the pink shirt? http://imgur.com/a/GKKMr#0 Here is the item page for the shirt...

Would you care to help me learn how to match ties?

Thanks a lot. That is so helpful. Do you think a pattern or a solid burgundy tie would be better for the pink shirt? Examples of solid ties I'm considering...

Would you care to help me learn how to match ties?

Hm. I would say that my go-to pant colors are navy, grey/charcoal, and black. Thank you very much.

Would you care to help me learn how to match ties?

Thank you for thinking of that. Nobody at my office wears jackets when not in external meetings. Would prefer not to wear ties without a jacket, but it is required. When wearing a suit, it is generally charcoal or navy.

Would you care to help me learn how to match ties?

Here are the dress shirts I regularly wear: http://i.imgur.com/z0oaFDW.jpg I have a small collection of ties, but am pretty bad at matching. In particular, I have no freaking clue what ties to wear with the bottom middle two dress shirts. Would anyone provide specific suggestions for those...

Would you help to dress me for my new office job?

Okay, we have all agreed that I will not wear bowties nor will I try to change the policy of ties sans jackets too soon but maybe someday in the future after establishing credibility. Anyone have thoughts on a specific tie that will definitely look good? For instance, a navy blue knit tie has...

Would you help to dress me for my new office job?

Wow. Thanks for all the great advice so far! Unfortunately, the office attire is dress pants, button up, and tie. I bought some standalone wool dress pants so that I'm not ruining my suits. I'll certainly try to get that policy changed. In the meantime, could anyone help me with my specific tie...

Would you help to dress me for my new office job?

I have no doubt that there are all kinds of these posts, and I'm very aware of the Styleforum 101 posts which are quite fantastic, but there's nothing quite as good as collective advice! So your thoughts would be very much appreciated. Here's the scoop: I just started working in an office...

    Indochino Suit (specific questions inside)

Hey all, thanks for popping in here. I bought my first suit last year during a BB semi-annual sale. Paid about $600 after all the tailoring and everything for a Navy Blue 1818 Fitzgerald. It's awesome and has served me very well so far. Looking to expand the collection with another staple before...

    Suit Pants

Two part question: 1) Do you guys generally buy more than 1 pair of pants for your suits? Seeming to me like a good idea. 2) I only own one suit so far, a BB Navy Fitzgerland. Purchased about a year ago. Do you think it's possible to find matching pants? Contacted BB and they said that there may...
